Yenepoya Medical College was established in the year 1999 with an intake capacity of 100 MBBS students under the ambit of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. Subsequently after obtaining the permission from Medical Council of India postgraduate courses were started in some departments in the year 2005.
The Yenepoya Medical College was declared constituent College of Yenepoya University (Deemed to be University under section 3(A) of the UGC Act 1956 as per notification number F 9-11/2007 U-3 dated 27-02-2007) in the year 2009.
Since 2009 the College has started a number of PG Diploma, Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral Programs in various medical disciplines.
The college and its associated hospital has developed state of art facilities to facilitate the patient care, academics and research.
