Paediatric

The Department of Paediatrics provides outpatient and inpatient services on daily basis apart from facilities for teaching Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students. The Department has been involved in teaching undergraduate students since the beginning of the institution in the year 1999 and was sanctioned Postgraduate course (MD) in the year 2005 with an intake of 2seats per year & was increased to 4 seats per year since 2011.

Objectives

  • Upgrading of Neonatal & Paediatric Intensive care health facilities & develop Paediatrics super specialties to deliver quality patient care
  • To actively participate in all National Programs for children
  • To conduct problem-oriented research in community Paediatrics
  • To organize regular CME’s for health care professionals to update recent developments
  • To implement student-centric newer teaching methodologies for UG & PG students

Courses Offered

  • Undergraduate: MBBS – Phase II & III - 150 / year
  • Postgraduate: M.D in Paediatrics - 4 / year
  • Certificate Course in Child Health for MBBS Doctors - 20 /year(2 batches)
