Emergency Medicine

Emergency medicine is a speciality concerned with the care of illnesses or injuries requiring immediate medical attention. The Emergency medicine department at Yenepoya Medical College Hospital works in tandem with the major departments of the hospital. There are the Emergency Physicians who receive and assess the patients according to the priority who prescribe the necessary investigations and decide on the treatment to be provided to the patients. The Emergency nurses also contribute to the timely provision of nursing care. Overall, the department strives to provide care within short duration of time and save lives of the patients.
